There is a disturbing phenomenon taking place within the Church. It is the turning of true prophets into prophets of Baalim. This simply means that tried and true prophets are being seduced into using the anointing upon their lives to speak things that God has not told them to speak. The lure is mammon; ‘filthy lucre.’ An entire ministry of integrity can be destroyed by stepping out of God’s instruction. The penalty is instant judgement which will result in death to such a prophet. Yes, there are false prophets, but there are also true prophets who are ‘turning’ because they are lured out into the rocks of recognition. Ezekiel ch 22 vs.28 says it best, “…They say, ‘This is what the Sovereign LORD says’–when the LORD has not spoken…” NIV.
The same Church which sat upon their hands in their pews now embraces deadly spiritual warfare in order to KILL people who do not share their ideological or religious point of view? What did Jesus ever do to make the Church think that it was their job to be “armed and dangerous?” Remember when guards came to take Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, Peter cut off the ear of one of the guards. It was Jesus HIMSELF who put the ear back on the guard and healed the wound. In Jesus’ time, there were those who thought that they were to take up arms ( with Jesus as their king) to overthrow the Romans. When He did not engage in violence, many were offended in Him.The Father’s plan was so much greater than this. So, it is today. The many who follow the few do not know the Word of God. They do not know that everything in the Book is for instruction and reproof. Every accounting, every story every type & shadow is to the end that we might know Him. Why are there so many false notions about what it means to be a Christian?
Christ never deputized the Church to be “armed and dangerous” save for the knowledge of His Words. Why is there so much fear? The Word says. “…the king’s heart is in the hand of the Lord, even as the rivers of waters, He turneth it wheresoever He wills.” Why is there no trust in God, today? Those who feel that they have to take up arms should not use the name of Jesus in order to do it. They would be dead wrong. Everything they attempt would fail. How could it be otherwise lest they lead many astray? Why are right-wing politicians trying to use prophets to curse what God has blessed? They and their prophets do so at their own peril. There will be an implosion from combining what is Holy and what is profane.
